airport question

    Hi im wondering if it is possible for me to use to computers euipped with airport cards and to make a network without the use of a base station and also can i use one computer as the server which will be connected by a cable modem? Does anyone know anyway of doing this like which program i can use and how to do it?

    Yes.

    Jaguar includes what's called a "software base station" which supplies dhcp (ip addresses) and ip routing to airport clients. The server machine will have to be up for this to work, of course. Put airport cards in all the machines, connect the server to the cable modem, you're all set.
