Im trying to VPN with my school and it will not work. The support site clearly says "VPN service for MAC OS X users is currently under development and will be available at a later date." But it has said that for a couple of semesters now and i think "a later date" means never. So, I was wondering if there is some third party VPN app :). NOT the one built in to OS X) that would work with a 'windows only' VPN connection.

also can anyone explain the difference b/w a windows VPN connection and the VPN connection that apple tries to make? i though the point of having a standard PPTP is to have a protocol that works with any system. but i guess not.

What makes this VPN Windows-only? Can you post the instructions for Windows users?

I do not know what makes it windows-only, but the quote i had is from the support desk web site that says that VPN for OS X is currently under development. It doesn't say windows only, but it defiantly says OS X does not work.

Here is a link to the VPN instructions for windows, its a PDF file.

I tried digiTunnel but it kept saying that my 30 day trial has expired, even though i just downloaded it. I am also trying VPN Tracker 4 but it requires more settings than I am given in the PDF file for set up.
