Always open with selected App...

Ello everyone,

I want my wmv to open with quicktime and not flip4mac, however when i right click wmv file and select quicktime making sure i tick "always open this type with selected app" It does it that one time, but doesn't remember for next time.

Any help?

I want my wmv to open with quicktime and not flip4mac, however when i right click wmv file and select quicktime making sure i tick "always open this type with selected app" It does it that one time, but doesn't remember for next time.

Any help?

1. Right-click and Get Info
2. Select the desired app under "Open With"
3. Click "Change All"

If that doesn't stick, try rebuilding the LaunchServices database, by entering the following command in Terminal:

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/ LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
