I died in WoW, and decided to do a bit of exploring while dead. I wandered into high-level areas, just to see what's there. I went into Blackrock Spire, and surprisingly it let me into the instance. But now I can't get back out

The "swirly door" acts like a wall - I can't walk through it. I can't use my soulstone while dead, and my corpse is about 5 zones away. Any ideas?

Click on the "?" button in the lower toolbar, select the unstuck button. You should be fine now. :)

Yeah, that'll work. So will using your hearthstone if it's not on cooldown.

Heh, I didnt know about the stuck button.

One time, in SM Lib, I got poly'd by the boss, the stupid sheep decided to walk behind a bookshelf, I came out of poly and was stuck.
Took a while to get out, luck I had a hunter with me, who ran back, pulled about 5 dudes, ran back to me, I healed him, he fainted death and they all atacked me. That was the only way I could get out without hearthing (that I knew of).

I actually thought about that immediately after posting my original message. I'll try it later, once the $%^& server comes back online

I'm scared of playing WoW. All these reports of it being addictive has caused me great consternation and apprehension.

Yeah, it is addictive, but a large final assignment got me away from it. But now that I've finished my course and have some free time... :D

Its not so bad if you have some self control. Think of it this way if it wasn't really really fun we would not be addicted...

You can't, I already tried that (although I accidentally called it a "soulstone" in my original post).

I lack self-control and discipline. I would be in financial ruins if I were to ever touch WoW. That, I can be as certain of as night turns to day and summer turns to fall and caterpillars turn to butterflies and eating gobs of sugar turns to cellulite.

Due to exchange rate fluctuations, WoW credit costs different amounts depending on when you buy it. I get it when it's cheap then keep the card in its box until I need it :)

It's currently at NZ$50 per card  although I've bought some for as low as $36 :D

There are plenty of third-party servers out there. The disadvantage is lack of players though.
