    OK. What was the 65832? Was there a planned IIGS successor that never materialized or something?

    I googled and found this....

    "The company that had made the 16-bit 65816 was at one time willing to make a more advanced 32-bit processor, the 65832. However, Apple's unwillingness to commit to creating a computer that would use that processor doomed any potential for this company to design that processor."

    A 32-bit Apple II. Interesting. (If that's what it would have been for). That sounds like it would have been a mess.

    It's amazing to think about how many competing operating systems there were in the late 1980s.

    I am sure it won't be called G5, but 970, 970FX and so on and so fourth.

    Well, I hope the Powerbook beats me to G5 status! :D (EDIT: or at least dual core status! ;))

    since we are talking about it in this thread..... is there any chance mods/arn of going beyond the 601 rank? or are we just going to leave it there?

    i suppose it could.... but its only listed to 601 at this point

    and...601 seems to cover anyone who is above 5000 posts at this point, jefhatfield is at 7600+ and still a 601....

    There should be a rank G5, and than the TOP POSTER (or, 15,000+ Posts) gets the title of:

    DUAL CORE 3.5 GHz G5!!!

    Where do you go out? Is that like, connecting out to remote-control another computer with VNC? I'm not sure where else "out" is.... :confused:
