    Because of the easy getaway?
I mean you can just hide it in a duffel bag, walk away, and no one will be the wiser...

It's like taking candy from a baby. 39 ft long metal candy.

I'll take the bridge for $5... or a 3 24oz cans of beer.

Especially if there is any gold in it, and I get to pull your teeth myself.

On the subject of bridges, the state of washington sold half of the Hood Canal bridge last spring. I might be wrong, but i think it sold for somewhere around 100,000.

Sounds like someone came up with the idea of selling scrap iron to a dealer and when they looked around, here was this nice big piece of metal :D

ahahaha, damn, talk about stupid. Classic stuff.

I can't imagine why the locals wouldn't have said something sooner. Like others have said it isn't something that could be hidden. I suppose their explanation could be, because we could. I can't imagine why the prosecutor would need time on something like this.

How long did it take to dismantle? Surely, between 7 of them, it must be bordering on minimum wage!

it's still better that they steal their bridges than killing each other like they used to do...
