    This has been a bad period for the loss of cultural heroes in the UK. As a boy I supported Liverpool (probably because they seemed to win everything) but I keep a soft spot for them and was saddened about this one too.
    Todays celebrities are nothing compared to people like Emlyn.

    Get used to the death-thing. At my age I am amazed daily about the folks I grew up watching dropping off, and it's excellerating! It seems like just yesterday I was 14 and watching "Death Wish". I had NO IDEA that Charles Bronson was 82 when he died last year!

    He's just a year older than I am. :eek: Brain cancer is very tough to combat. Emlyn Hughes was a great athlete. My prayers go out to his family and friends. May he now rest in peace. :(

    such sad news. "Crazy Horse" was such a happy figure, so great to see...he celebrated every goal like it was his first
