Another Apple Cease and Desist?

    i've seen a lot of sites with the tabs like Apple's, i doubt its that big of a deal to be honest, i don't see how it could be patented so it really isn't an issue

    True. True. Just being silly, given recent news of the legal action Apple has been taking (e.g., rumor sites, OS releases, itunes.???.???). The example above is taken directly from the site, though, with new lettering put on top. :eek:

    yeah i noticed they kept the pinstripes too, its tasteless, but sadly people are lazy and like to copy

    If you look down the bottom of apple.com...

    I doubt they'll do anything about it though.

    That refers to the logos used, not the web design... which is pretty common. I doubt Apple "invented" the phony tab look! On a similar note, I think Apple's site is pretty horrible given their brilliance in product design.

    Yup. For example, suppose you're thinking about buying a Mac and want to know where to find a nearby Apple Store. Once you've clicked on the 'Store' tab, though, you're screwed, since it's hidden under "Where to Buy" on the  tab.
