Yes, I know, ANOTHER MACBOOK WoW THREAD!!!!!!!!! Sry about this but i'm in need of a laptop that is good at games (WoW mainly) and can also do alot of other work. I decided that the standard macbook (not pro) would be a good laptop to choose. The only thing that i still need to know is if World of Warcraft will run good on it with the 512 mb RAM and the 64 mb Intel graphics card. Anyone that has a macbook and plays WoW on it please give me your opoinin and normal frames per second.

    Thanks

(I know thats alot of writing)

If you know there are some other wow thread, why don't you search for it...safe yourself some times for typing.

my opinion, not SUPER AMAZING, but should not disappoint you. 512 mb maybe too little tho.

Ok... new topic... Is it worth it to get a 2.0ghz? or is there not a very big difference between 1.83 and 2 while runing WoW?

If you're getting a MacBook, and not a MacBook Pro, there will be about 0 difference between the 1.83 and the 2.0 when it comes to WoW.

The GMA950 is weak. It's enough for me to play Guild Wars at 1024x768 at medium settings...I would think WoW would be similar (at least in Windows)

Ok, thanks, so i wont waste my money and get a 1.83 ghz. And guildwars is pretty much the same graphics of WoW so i think it should run fine if i upgrade the RAM to 1 gb or possibly 2 gb.

It'll run fine. Just don't expect uber-fast frame rates and all the details turned to high. :)

Thanks, but do you mean it will run fine with 2G's, 1G, or 512mb?

I know it will run with all three and that obviosly 2G will be the best, but im just wondering if 1G or even 512mb will run it well (30fps average).

Yes. I get about 20 outdoors and high 30's indoors with 512.

You'll be better off with 1GB though, since up to 80MB of system RAM is used by the GMA950, and WoW runs better with a GB anyway.

Also, GW runs *very* nicely on an Intel Mini - it autodetects details to be one notch below max and I run it at 1280x768 on my 17" widescreen monitor.

I need to re-up my WoW subscription...haven't played since May and I miss it. :(

sry... bobber205, you get 20 outdoors-30 indoors on only 512G? How many do you think i will get with 1G or 2G? And do you also run it on OSX?
