hello, ok heres the deal, im getting a 15 powerbook when they finaly update them, which i beleive has a dvi thingy for plugging in new apple monitors. Ive got an ancient (about 10 years old) sony 15 inch bog standard ( sorry i dont know terms very well) monitor. is there anyway i can plug this into my powerbook when i get one as two screens would be a real benefit!
    thanks!!

I use an external VGA monitor every day at work plugged into my 12" PB via a dongle that comes with the PB. Works great. In the display setup you can drag the screen to reflect where you have the screen physically placed, and even drag the menu bar to whichever screen you want. Whenever you plug/unplug the external display, the PB automatically sorts itself out..
