I would recommend looking at Ambrosia Software for some games such as Escape Velocity, Override, and Nova. All work just fine with your G3. They are open plug-in games, meaning anyone can change the entire story-line.

Myst works and possibly Myst 2 Riven (I am not to sure about Myst 2 as it crashes on my iMac, see sig. for specs).

YES. Finally a thread where I'm not the first one to bring up starcraft as a suggestion. Love that game, still play.

Quake 3 runs well, although with most of the eye candy off.
OS9 version runs better than OSX I found.
    Oh Ghost Recon runs well.

    Many games work

The fps, Unreal Tournament Game of the Year edition, Links 2000, Ghost Recon., Tomb Raider to name a few. They all run fine on my G3/300, OS 9.2.2,
320MB RAM. Still play UT online, cable connection and quite respectable in terms of game play.

go to the review section of http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/ and you'll get a list of all mac games, along with the reviews they have system and OS requirements.

my favorites are, age of empires gold, starcraft, and pocket tanks deluxe.

    Dane is right.

Unreal 99 all the way. As soon as we get the new preview it will be even better.

I used to run it on my old G3 iBook.

Quake 3 will play ok with basic settings. Put Jaguar on it and run the OSX version of Quake3. It will work with 8MB video.

Actually it was the 603e days. I've played it on a 603e... and it is supposedly able to run on a 120 MHz Power Macintosh!

Aspyr's Game Agent is a useful little app that will let you know how well (or how badly) their games will run on your set up.

I would get Age of Empires II. I haven't wasted more hours on any other game then AoE II. It ran great on the old 333 MHz iMacs. I was also able to run it on my 500 MHz G3 a while back. But yeah, AoE II should run well.
