if you like discussing your favorite movies, IMDb has a very large community. the boards aren't as powerful as others, but the content more than makes up for it.

macosxhints is another board i go to infrequently for os x and darwin modding/hacking.

xlr8yourmac i visit as much as MR.

arstechinca has a very good mac section of their forums too, even if the site is pc-centered.

    Re: No

    I agree.

Well, I'm sure there are, but this is only the second forum I've
posted at, and the 1st one was blizzforums, which got old quick.

    Re: Re: No

rowers post was meant to be sarcastic as if saying "on the whole internet there are no cool forums" in response to the banal thread topic.

    Gratitude...

As far as Mac forums, this is the only one I like. I think it's the whole package at Mac Rumors and we owe our gratitude to Arn and everyone that contributes to this forum.

Has anyone checked out the Digidesign forums lately? Lot of heated stuff about Pro Tools 6.0 being late. Digidesign owners are not as forgiving as Mac owners, that's for sure.

Its very new and fresh and has a small but growing community. I would definitely recommend to check it out. We have great discussions and a lot of fun :D

macgurus.com has the best and most intelligent tecnical troubleshooters (especially on RAID systems, and older hardware).

baseboard.net had a strong design vibe, and a fun community.

Also, check out the forums following my signature. It's a month old community and working quite well.

ELYXR, if you think we owe it to arn for his contribution to Macrumors, be sure to check out www.pcrumors.com at least once in a while.

    Look familiar? :p :p

well, macrumors, and many other forums, have many members,
but much fewer active members. So, it will be hard to
    answer that question.
