i found a bit of software this morning, thats supports both Mac's (intel too) and PC's for voice and video

seems to work ok, although i have not tried the video/voip facility

Sure. Reasonably well received product. Good implementation. Works with an iSight.

I don't use it on a regular basis since I don't really have the need. But if I was after free VoIP, I'd certainly give it a shot.

i did a direct comparison between iChat, Skype and sightspeed.

sight speed had decent video, but a terrible layout,

    Skype won me over easily.

Is it true that Skype will stop being free soon ?

wrong place to ask this question, but here i go: does video and or conferencing using ichat work when chatting with a windows user?

oh, and skype wins me over definetly. i just dont like it that there is such a huge delay for video to arrive to whom im talk to (i use it for overseas communication, maybe thats the problem??)
