is anyone experiencing any backlight issues with their iPhone 6s Plus? See attached images (i adjusted the brightness of the images so that the issue was more visible). There is a "dashed" effect along the top edge. Apple sent me a replacement phone and it has the same issues. It's pretty subtle, but if I can see it with the naked eye, I'm worried it will only get worse over time.

Wrong thread to post this is in really.

For the record, no problems with my screen.

IDK Even your bezel and box have 'backlight issues' in those pics.

Thread was moved, so I'll reply again. That's just a dramatization of shadowing on the bezel. Everything except for the top edge of the screen is perfect. I've reduced the brightness with post-processing so that everyone could clearly see the issue. It's much subtler in person, but it's still an issue nevertheless, which is why Apple sent me a replacement phone (they've seen these same images that I posted above) and their engineers agreed it was an issue that will hopefully be corrected in the next batch of shipments.

i have it too.. its not really a big deal honestly... no normal person notices this **** anyways. forums make u crazy

lol, im not normal. i notice everything. and i agree that its not a big deal now, but it may become one later like when your device is out of warranty, perhaps. if it already doesn't have a good connection, it might become worse a few drops sooner than it would otherwise. we pay too much for these devices to accept anything less.

I had some major issues with my regular 6S. Exchanged it. This isn't exclusive to just the Plus.

Is that your new one or your old one? because i don't really see any issues.

Oh, yes I do. I thought that was just a result of the camera you took the picture with, like if you take a picture of a computer screen or tv screen, it can kind of look like that because of the angle, but if that's what it actually looked like in person than that yes that is bad. i was confused because i assumed you had the same exact issue as me.

I had similar "smudges" at the top of my iPhone 6, primarily around the battery indicator. I think a lot of the 6 (not plus) devices had this. The screen was perfect otherwise and I kept it. Just posting to let you know that I had the phone for a year and it never got any worse. At first I couldn't "not see it" but after awhile it stopped bothering me and I only noticed it if I was looking for it.

Damn it, I have this on mine too. I thought I had a good display, then I noticed that the colors weren't uniform either.

Apple QC always fails me. It's ridiculous.

How did you get them to send you a replacement phone?

Now that you said this I do notice a little grey tint all along the top of my screen? Nothing to noticeable though. Noticed it right once I started using messaging one day and thought it was just what happened when you scroll a message up

I bought two of the 6S Plus. My silver 6S Plus had this exact issue, so I ended up returning it. My rose gold 6S Plus has a perfect screen.

My iPhone 6s Plus suffers from the exact same affliction. I noticed it immediately when using the spotter app to test for dead pixels.
I really only notice it during daily use on white screens at a certain angle of viewing. I haven't decided if I will try and replace it or not. I have AppleCare so I may just keep this as an option to get a new phone when I need it.

I contacted Apple and they made me do a factory reset to make sure it wasn't software related. Once we verified it was still showing up on the Hello setup screen, they set up an Express Replacement. Keep in mind that if you don't have AppleCare+, you will have to either mail your phone in OR pay for the express shipping. I was not told this before they shipped express, so they refunded the shipping, but not before it was escalated to a "Senior Advisor". There is no guarantee that you will receive a better display at this point since a good number of phones have this issue, but they will send you another one if you want. Otherwise, if you still want a new one, you may be better off returning the original and ordering another one (2-3 weeks shipping), which is what I'm leaning toward.

Yeah, I'm just going to return the phone for a full refund :/ when will the next, hopefully better batch, be ready?

Yes my iPhone 6s Plus has it very faintly. I looked for such a flaw a day or two ago but didn't find it until this morning in a room in my house that has a skylight and gives an even ambient lighting that really lets me see the screen well.

It's really faint, though. And on a part of the screen I barely pay attention to. And I've got really nice even white tone to my display. So I'll keep what I have and not risk getting something wrong that I will notice.

I had this issue on an older iPhone: I think it was the 4 or 4s, and it was much more pronounced than on your phone. Anyone who looked at the phone would see it instantly, and it was distracting. I did exchange it, and the replacement did not have the issue.

100% do not have this issue with my 6s Plus. If I did I would notice it as I had it with 2x iPad Mini 2's and it annoyed the crap outta me :)
