request for anyone back in England, that either has a DVD recorder, or can tape TV on their Mac.

I desperately want to get a copy of the Liverpool v TNS first round Champions League game, that I believe is going to be on ITV2 (?) on Wednesday13th July at 7.45(ish)

There's a whole bunch of us Liverpool fans in New York City (see the link in my sig) and it's not televised Stateside.

So, if there's anyone that can record the game onto DVD or perhaps better still, record it (decent quality) on their Mac and upload it to my ftp server, i would be extremely grateful.

    Thanks!

Liverpool games appear on some of the larger BT sites pretty promptly.

Did you check to see if maybe some pub might be playing it? I've been to a couple that were playing games that weren't on my digital cable even on PPV.

    Not even Setanta showing it?

Have you tried asking the ESPNZone in Times Square whether they think they might be able to pick it up on one of their multitude of satellite dishes? I seem to recall when I was in there last year, they were picking up some Far East channel which had live Premiership on it... so you never know.

no, setanta won't show this, they don't have the rights for it anyway.

we want to be able to watch it in our bar, the 11th st bar, if at all possible. nevada smiths has the best chance of getting it, but their doubtful, and it's the local manc/chelsea/gooner bar  so i'd rather not watch it there anyway!

    just checking out those forums...

I could video it for you la.... Remember video tape, rusty stuff in a black box?

It'll take a while to capture (well, 90 minutes plus a few) and encode, but I could probably get it to you by the end of the week, any good?

Recording Scheduled remotely via TVTV for my EyeTV connected Mac Mini at home (massive geek points for me). I'll check the reception as i don't watch ITV2 much so might need to tweek the settings a bit.

It seems to be on for 2.5 hours so transcoding to something other than raw transport stream will take the Mini a while. Can you mail FTP details to me at robbie@robbieduncan.net.

MPEG2 or MPEG4 (H.264 is an option if you want)?
