    Hi all,

Just got a new iPad to go with my existing iPhone 4 and must say it's strange how many apps are not available on the iPad that are available on the iPhone?

If anyone knows of a replacement app for any of these topics I'd be grateful to know. I have searched but not found anything that meets the caliber of the iPhone apps.

F1 News - Lotus Racing app for iPhone is free
Alarm clock - background alarms and sleep iPod etc like iPhone
National rail - I use the national rail app on iPhone as it has live train tracking
Buses - a buses app that shows live real time info for buses and not timetables. Buses for iPad is very very very limited to the areas it covers with live real time info.
Network scanning apps - pavels apps and inet on iPhone
Personal maps - Cartographer for iPhone
    Diary - momento for iPhone
Traffic - loads on iPhone none for iPad
Parking - again no decent ones for iPad
Directions - Where to for iPhone
Train tickets - the train line for iPhone
    Taxis - cab4me for iPhone

These ones puzzles me the most ... Revision3 has no iPad app, ustream viewer has no iPad app and JTv has no pad app?

Hotukdeals has only 1 crap rss feed reader
    Tesco had no shopping app

None of my photography apps / editing apps are cross compatible?

None of my games such as sonic etc are cross compatible either?

The down side for developers is that im not buying the same app twice, and recently have only been buying apps that are universal even if they are slightly more expensive or less functional, as i don't understand this 2 separate apps fiasco, just charge us a little more for an iPad compatible version or add it as an in app purchase surly?

Anyway, if anyone has any good ideas for the apps im looking for I'd be very grateful.

Ps the only f1 app i saw that was as good as the FREE lotus app is/was 19.99.

Still, I love my iPad and if anyone can recommend and awesome unmissable apps please feel free to let me know as im loving it so far.

You do know that every non-stock (i.e. The iPhone clock app won't) iPhone app can be loaded on your iPad, right? It takes time and money to move from an iPhone only app to a universal app, not every developer/company feels like it's in their business plan to spend the time and money. Perhaps iPad users are not their target audience?

They'll probably be a little pixelated when run at 2x, but they'll work just fine.
