I haven't seen a single second of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

I'm not opposed to the idea, and I've watched all the others that have been on more or less since I was born.

But, for some reason, I have zero interest this year. Or, more accurately, I don't have enough interest to cause me to sit down and tune in NBC and watch. I'm sure that, if I sat down and it was on, I'd watch. But it isn't, and so I don't.

    Am I the only one?

    Nope... no TV. :)

Watching 'The Sopranos' Season 1 on DVD on the Mac at the mo.
2 episodes per night... loving it.

I'm sure if I wasn't turning it on my wife would not watch a single second.

Oddly enough, if I happened to notice curling was scheduled to be on, I'd watch. I don't know why, but that sport entertains me enormously. :)

A couple of the US curlers (is that the right word?) are VERY cute... the Johnson sisters, Cassie and Jamie. That alone made it worth watching the US take on Norway and win. ;)

It's great fun... there's a lot of strategy in it surprisingly. I played it for about 10 years and had a ball - only gave up because there are no curling rinks in London :(

I guess I wouldn't have watched as much if it was as tough as it seems to be in the US. In the UK, the BBC have made it really easy. You can watch it via digital television whenever you like - regardless of what else is really on - with a choice of 2 or 3 live sports or highlights. Or you can watch it online - which makes choosing what to watch and when even easier.

Oh, has it been that long since you were on an Airline rerun? ;)

I used to watch hours each night. Now... several hours a week at best (or worst, depending on your POV). Thus, I'm not in front of the TV flipping around as usual, so I don't catch the Olympics (curling, to be exact...), so I don't watch it.

I'm watching the Olympics like I watched the Superbowl which is to say, "What Superbowl?"

Damn it. I wish I'd have known that. I assumed it was all fat bald guys with brooms. I see enough of myself in the mirror that I didn't need to see it on TV. Now I wish I'd have tuned in. ;)

I am watching some events, but I thought my interest this time around would prove to be stronger than it has been so far.

The commercials at the Olympics aren't as good, though.

Oddly enough, posted on "ProudToBeCanadian.ca". I guess our uniforms are made there, so no big surprise.

As if it matters. ;) Both look better than the fat bald guys I was imagining would be there.

Heh, it's been well over a month since I've watched TV! I was at a friend's house and we watched part of the skating trials for the Olympics. I have two sets here at home and rarely ever turn either of them on. I am just not a TV watcher -- too many other more interesting things to do.

That said, if I remember, this next week I will turn on the TV to catch the women's figure skating competition. I totally forgot about and missed the men's. The skating is really the only Olympics event that interests me.

Sorry, I have no time to post in this thread because the team snowman-building competition is just starting. I don't want to miss any coverage of any sport.

But I do wonder why they don't call it snowperson-building.
