I remember, afew years ago, it was suggested to preserve battery life that u should remove the battery while using AC power cords?

is that old school mentality that i shouldn't have to worry about with my new macbook?

If you are worried about battery health on your macbook just make sure that you discharge your battery down all the way then recharge it at least once a month:apple:

Bad idea since you kill performance In a huge way. 35-50% performance hit give or take .

Also magsaf ca. Easily come off and your computer will loose power all of a sudden, bad for the chipset.
