I posted this thread over on Apple's discussion forums so that Apple will hopefully notice this issue will acknowledge that it exists and needs to be fixed and it would help if you guys could "Like" it, or reply to it saying that you are affected by it.

My MBA came with 10.6.7 installed so I cannot go back to 10.6.6, so I am forced to suffer when playing games and such on my MBA. :(

So yeah, please "Like" the thread or reply to it so that it get's more attention and so Apple will hopefully acknowledge the issue.

You should have gotten an installation USB key. It should have an older OS on it. You could reinstall the OS from the stick and then upgrade as needed.

True. Damn. I didn't even think of that. =/

Well, I've got everything already setup perfect on 10.6.7, it'd be a pain to go back and have to do it all over again.

Thanks to this thread, I will reset my MBA the moment it arrives in my hands, and not bother setting it up :p

1.) Time Machine backup (or you could use Carbon Copy or SuperDuper)
    2.) Erase and reinstall
3.) Restore user accounts and other items from backup.

    Not trivial but certainly doable.
