AOL Mail in OSX Mail

Hi everyone!
I just got my brand new 17" powerbook a few days ago and I love every aspect of it. I did have one problem however. I would like to be able to view my AOL mail account in the mail app in OSX. Is there a way to do this. I called AOL and they said that forwarding my mail to another server was not available on the Mac, but I dont think the guy know what he was talking about. Thanks for your help.

I am not an AOL user, so I can not answer your question, but the person you talked to sounds like a moron.

Mail forwarding is done by AOL, and has no knowledge of your platform. They do it with their servers, not your laptop.


But- congrats on the 17". I have one and I know you will fall in love with it, if you haven't already!

Does AOL give you use of pop3? if so...

I figured it out!! yay! Just a few days ago, AOL released an IMAP version on their mail. This makes possible to use apps like mail and entourage to check your AOL mail. Its really easy to set up, once you have all the information. Here is the link I used to get the info I needed:
