App for stream ebook to read on iDevices

I wonder if anyone know of an app that I can simply stream an ebook file (pdf or otherwise) to read remotely on an iPad?

Basically, I'm looking for a way to read ebook off my Mac HDD without having to sync with iTunes or load it to online storage like Dropbox.

Something like AirPlay but for ebooks!

If you can drop me a name of an app with such functions, I would be very thankful to you for making my life wirelessly easier!
