Saw it at the gym today, not bad, except the music coming through my iPod was so loud I didn't hear the song!

I like that color palette of purples and greens against a dark black background (a la Leopard in general and the newer Apple TV startup vid)

The interesting thing to me is that this is not an iPod ad. Not an iPod in sight.

Why wouldn't they show an iPod? I understand that they're advertising the availability of Viva la Vida on iTunes, but why would they pass up the chance to advertise the iPod at the same time?

    Why stop there!
Apple should have every one of there products in every single commercial!:p

I'm teasing, it's either they probably did a deal with Coldplay to advertise there new album and so the advert has to concentrate on that, or new iPods on the 9th of June!

I like the ad visually, but the music seems to be lacking something that makes the entire ad never seem to 'get anywhere'.

I know that you couldn't really use a different song though. :p

I agree, overall the ad team were severely hampered by the fact they had to use a coldplay song, but on balance they did a pretty good job.

I absolutely ADORE the new ad and the song, for that matter. (And btw, I'd NEVER known of anyone who didn't love Coldplay until I saw this thread!! The horror! (Gasp!))

Does anyone know where I can view the ad online in HD? I'd like to view a larger version of the video if possible, but I don't see it on their ads page...instead, there's the commercial featuring "Shut Up and Let Me Go". :eek:l

I really like the visuals in this advert, colorful :D. Although I feel the audio is ever so slightly out of sync on the advert at the Apple website.

This commercial is awesome. It's not like the usual bright color splashes and silhouette people, you could see the detail on the people and it was dark with colors mixed in. It just looked awesome.

    New iTunes ad

I saw a new iPod+iTunes ad airing last night featuring Coldplay. It was along the lines of the colorized ads but was more flowing and less graphical shapes.

The music is meh to me but the ad is sick. Its great how they can still make the silhouette theme feel fresh.
