"Apple Entertainment" sounds like an interesting take on the success of the iPod and iTunes. I think this would make the record labels unhappy. On the other hand I suppose Sony is doing this already. They have struggled with conflicts of interest as a result however. If Apple did decide to rename or open a whole new division dedicated to entertainment then it would also make sense to merge with Pixar. Dealing with conflicts of interest wouldn't be easy.
It would be an incredibly bad name, given the history of litigation with Apple Corps (Apple Records, the Beatles, etc.)
I can't see Apple Computer renaming itself. I can see them creating a wholly-owned subsidiary for media, but without the word "Apple" in the name, to avoid further lawsuits with Apple Corps. Perhaps something like "iTunes Digital Media" or "iTunes Entertainment".
I really don't see it happening either. An iTunes related name would be more likely. However I don't think it would give them any real protection in their ongoing lawsuit since it would still be a subsidiary of Apple and contain the Apple name and logo all over the place inside iTunes.
