    Because they automatically capitalize the first letter if each word in their headings.

    Okay, I understand that much but are these articles written by machines or people with the ability to actually call things what they are?

    The "coattail" effect?

    Dueling metaphors!

    Makes as much sense as "halo" though. I never quite grasped the metaphor intended there.

    Why not "gateway" effect. Isn't that more accurate? I think I'll start using that.
