Apple goofed on my simple order.

    So I am aware that a minor goof now and then is expected with most companies. I had ordered 2x 512 MB refurbished Shuffles last week and was shocked when yesterday I receive this big box that contains this tiny box with only one Shuffle. My immediate thought was that there was another package outside that I hadn't seen, but no, there wasn't. So I tried calling Apple, but all I got was "Due to the extreme amount of calls we are receiving today, we can't take your call today, please visit our website, or call back another day." That is the first time I have ever not been able to at least wait on the phone awhile and then talk to an apple rep. I have had the "We are very busy, so the wait might be awhile", but never this. So I went on their customer service site and told them what happened. They sent me an email a few hours later and said they would be shipping one out by the 30th. The problem is, I might be gone by the day it arrives, I am moving to Jersey on June 5th, and this was supposed to be a graduation gift to a friend. I told them I wanted it shipped overnight at their expense, I guess I'll have to wait and see if that actually happens. The weird part was that even the slip that came in the box said "Quantity: 2". But seriously, how hard is it to send me 2 iPod Shuffles? :confused: :rolleyes:

    Weird.Apple never seems to screw upon iPod orders. They are known for good and proper delivery of iPods. This is very abnrmal. Call back tommorrow and complain. They might give you the second one free!;)

    Update: Apple is going to ship my Shuffle Overnight, free of charge as I asked! I should have it in time for the graduation, which is great news for me. :)

    My few experiences with Apple customer support have been pretty positive. They're fast and generally efficient.

    Planning on drowning out the awful "heartfelt" speeches people are going to make? :)

    lol, I wish, I am actually graduating as well, but this is for my PC loving friend.
