Apple has finally launched the Back to School promotion for 2011. As reported, this year's back to school promotion offers a $100 iTunes/App Store Gift Card with the purchase of a qualifying Mac. The promotion starts today and ends on September 20, 2011.

You must be a college student, student accepted to college, parent of college student or faculty/staff at any grade level. Qualifying computers include the MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac. Readers should also note that any Mac purchased now will also get OS X Lion for free.

Haha I just ordered my MacBook pro finally. I am officially an owner of a 2.2 i7 high res antiglare 2011 MbP!!! Woohoo. I think apple did this on purpose but it actually gives you an option to reject the $100 dollar iTunes gift card hahaha. "yes, I want a free $100 dollar back to school card" or "no, thanks" lol

So if the Airs are updated in the next month or two, will the new models be included in this deal?

Very disapointed not go get an iPod (at least my wife will be...), but glad my G5 iMac can finally be replaced. Am very sure we can find a good use for the £65, still haven't seen series 8 of 24.

When it gave you the option to choose that you didn't want the card, were there a box to click that you DO want the card? I can't see it :(

The terms & conditions section doesn't load for me... I wonder if the Mac mini and the 11" Air are included this time. I sure hope so.

Yup... Two options. At first i thought they were going to charge me 100 for the card, but it deducts towards the end. I also ordered the free Epson Stylus NX420 All-in-One Printer.. Anyone have this printer is it any good or should i sell it? Hmmm.. now its time to see how much this damn itunes card would sell on craigslist or ebay LoL.

I don't understand... when I check out my order, it says that it added another $100 for the promotional card -.-

    [EDIT]
Looks like it subtracts the price on the bottom right of the shopping cart :D

Good Deal for Apple, since they're getting back 30% of that "discount" anyway....

Hmm. I know this might be crazy but I wonder if Apple is going to consider dropping the iPod Touch at some point in the future. Maybe they will update it one last time this September. With the unlocked iPhones being sold now and the next iPhone being delayed until September as well, who knows what will happen.

You're paying almost as much as I am for my 27" BTO iMac, with Apple Care and the printer!
