May be a dumb question but I find myself wondering why the Apple logo has a bite taken out of it. One would think that it could be a full apple...was this to make it look cooler? What are your takes?

You have to take a bite out of the tree of knowledge in order to partake of it's gift.

It was a pun inspired by the name of a local club. I don't remember all the details; someone else can fill it in.

But the idea was basically: It was an Apple with a 'byte' taken out of it.
