Maybe Apple was waiting for a week when nobody was predicting products would be announced?

Ok, we're getting 3 or more threads on this. Not all should be active. Closed the other one, this was first. ;)

I see no changes. Could this have been just routine maintenance?

So they are. Kind of easy to miss that fact when you're looking for something new.

something funny about imac in education products page..
    "$891.00
    600MHz PowerPC G3
    512MB SDRAM
    40GB Ultra ATA drive
    CD-ROM Drive
    10/100BASE-T Ethernet
    56K internal modem

Discounted from $1,024 retail price "

look at the retail value... is that a joke????? i know that was the price a long time ago but now? does apple believe that the retail value of an old crt imac is 1024??????

If I recall correctly, the lower price was with 256MB of RAM, so it could be a discounted price. Although compared to an eMac, the price does suck immensely.

Is it me, or that a bit of a sad end to the computer that saved Apple?

    argh!

No G3 iMac anymore?! That's it?

Just for giggles I worked up a BTO 17" PB and it is still "3-5 weeks" to ship...

    No new 15.x" PB...

No new iPod... and the "starting from $299" is a out and out lie now.

    No new iBook

Yep, I know ... but when they close a hotel in Las Vegas to build a new one, they blow the damn thing up in celebration!

There's also a cluster node Xserve with no CD-rom or video card.

    How boring....

I just checked at my school and the low-end CRT iMac is selling for $649. Lookes like the education store for your school is all messed up.

You know its entirerly possible that Apple has added a script to the Apple store which will change the page at 9am PST, or some other time today. This way they can do work during the morning, when traffic is lighter, then have an automatic script do the switch when they need to.
