Apple seems to be putting the final touches on OS X Lion which is set to launch in July. They have pushed out a new software update for developers who are running the Developer Preview 4 that was released at WWDC.

There's no word on what has changed between versions. OS X Lion will be launching sometime in July for $29.99 via the Mac App Store.

It's impossible for Rosetta to be added back at this point. All the system files are intel-only.

Is it the grey linen one they showed during the keynote at WWDC?

Is it still stuck on OpenGL 2.1 or are the rumors (OpenGL 3.2 support) true?

For me it's 994.4MB. Pretty large update, I wonder what all has changed.

Lion has had OpenGL 3.2 support for quite a while now. It's just in a forward context OpenGL.

In SL, if you open a folder in the Finder it will zoom open and zoom close.

In Lion, are there any animations more generally for windows, e.g., opening and closing a Safari window?

I wish Mac Rumors had held off for a bit before posting this news item: my download has gone from 15 minutes remaining 1/2 hour ago to 2 hours now ;)

Yes, windows, including dialogues, have a "zoom" open animation. Dialogues have an animation when you close them as well.

Had to take it with my iPhone camera - but after the grey Apple screen with the spinning gear, the screen now sits on an indented Apple logo with the dark grey linen BG before your desktop loads.

They're obviously going to release retina display Macs soon ;)

I think this is going to be one of those "where did my download allowance go?" months.

Damn! You beat me to it!
