I'm not sure if this is damaging to the computer, but if you are not using an application that takes up the whole screen, a good place to put your Apple Remote is on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Well I like to put mine on the bottom left hand corner, or is that just really not a good thing to do?

magnets will not damage LCD displays. so that is a non-issue. they are only harmful to CRTs.

was there actually anywhere for the remote to be stuck to the MBP? ive never seen any pictures that depict this. maybe it's just the imac.

things are al lot closer together in the MBP. its a relatively weak magnet, but still has the potential to do some damage. i found this out the hard way with my ipod being put on top of my subwoofer....bye bye data. had to reformat the whole thing, and copy everythign back. it took effing ages.

while this comment does little for suggesting what to do w/ the remote...dont you wish that it could somehow fit inside the Express slot? similar to an HP I've seen w/ a remote.

anywho...I foresee this remote being misplaced often.

Exactly, then you have to buy a new one. Apple has to make its money somewhere. :p

It would definitely be best if it had somewhere to store it in the laptop.
The reason why I wouldn't put it on the left side if because it might effect the magsafe.

I don't think the remote has a magnet in it (ie. it doesn't stick to my fridge)
If only it was a little thinner... then it could go in the ExpressCard slot...

Yeah, my thoughts exactly...if Apple decided it feasible and revises the remote, I might be willing to get an ExpressCard slot remote.

Just remember to get it out of there before you close the lid.
