Sorry, yet another noob question, Can I use my apple remote that came with my macbook to switch slides in powerpoint if i have office for mac? and how do i do that?

Don't think you can, Microsoft may enable such functionality in a future update though.

It does work with Keynote.

no, i do not think so microsoft would have to include it, it does work very well with keynote however.

MS won't include it, at least not as an update to this rev. I recall seeing somewhere apps which basically let you let the remote mimic keystrokes, in which case you could use the remote. Sadly, I can't seem to find them right now.
