Apple says yes to iPhone iTunes killer

    Apple's revenue from iTunes isn't so hot anyway, and they've threatened to close it down before. Good on them for allowing Spotify and focusing their attention on more lucrative projects imo.. besides, I don't think it will have that much of an impact on iTunes as it probably won't get a large enough coverage.

    It may not last long, other things have made it through before - only to be pulled after making headlines.

    Apple does make their money from hardware, and this is an iPhone app, thus it sells iPhone/iPod Touches.

    Personally, I prefer to listen to music that is downloaded and not streamed.

    Streamed music can have interruptions during normal daily life. I prefer my music to be continuous and what I want to listen to.

    My guess is that there are enough folks in both camps to keep both systems going.
