Apple has seeded a new beta of an upcoming watchOS 3.2 update to developers for testing purposes. watchOS 3.2 comes more than three months after the release of watchOS 3.1, the first significant update to the watchOS operating system, and a week after the release of watchOS 3.1.3.

The watchOS 3.2 beta can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General --> Software Update. To install the update, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it must be in range of the iPhone.

watchOS 3.2 requires an iPhone running iOS 10 to install and will only be available to developers. Apple does not make watchOS betas available to the public as there is no way to downgrade the software on an Apple Watch.

Ahead of releasing watchOS 3.2, Apple shared some details on what's included in the update with developers. watchOS 3.2 includes a "Theater Mode" designed to let customers mute the sound on their Apple Watch and disable Raise to Wake, preventing the screen from lighting up with arm movement.

Theater Mode, originally introduced in watchOS 3.1.3, is being made available in watchOS 3.2. Customers are still able to receive haptic feedback-based notifications, and information can be viewed by either tapping the screen or pressing down on the Digital Crown.

watchOS 3.2 also brings SiriKit to the Apple Watch, allowing customers to ask Siri to do things like send messages, send payments, book a ride, log a workout, make a call, or search through photos. SiriKit has been available on iOS devices since the release of iOS 10, but is new to the Apple Watch.

So will SiriKit allow me to delete emails when the notifications appear on screen?

Currently when I get a notification I lift my wrist see the email, want to delete it and have to press delete or leave it, if I ask Siri to delete it, it tells me it can't.

SiriKit enables third-party developers to integrate functions of their apps into Siri. So I don't think it will help if you use Apple Mail.

Good to know, thank you very much!
Almost each day I ask myself, do I need one? I know I want one, but do i need it?
I said that when it was announced. Been using my Series 0 since launch day 2015. Best purchase decision in the last 2 years, without a doubt. It was major motivation to no longer be lazy.

You can do everything with the phone that you can do with the watch except be right on your wrist. Having a tap on my wrist is much more noticeable than having the notice come from the phone in my pocket. Occasionally the watch will stop getting notifications and its then you notice how you have become accustom to the method.

Well, that influenced me very much, especially that "not so lazy" part :DI want to do more sports but well, you know how it goes, too cold, too tired, too much to do :p if that thing can positively contribute to my health I should give it a try ;)

Got mine on launch day as well and have worn it everyday since. I have thought about the newer models a few times but still don't feel I need an upgrade yet. Maybe I can talk myself into a second by thinking I can wear this one at night and the new one during the day and make this one a sleep tracker but not there yet. Still happy with what I have.

It is ridiculous how slow the update process for the Apple Watch is. The app is showing that it will take 46 minutes to upload this new beta to my watch. They've got to come up with a better way of doing this.

Unrelated, but really hoping the next generation of all things Apple includes Bluetooth 5, and they don't go fully proprietary. Range+Speed+Battery .... especially with airpods.

I always carry my phone when I workout, and I don't swim, so the series 2 isn't at all necessary for me. I love the Nike Sport one, but I will probably get a Series 3 Nike Sport if available. My Apple Watch is the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I take off at night. Before the Apple Watch, I never owned or wore a watch. Only thing I want is the speed of the series 2, but my series 0 is still holding up well.

Syncing photo albums, syncing music lists, and doing updates are essentially all overnight activities for the Apple Watch. Just have to accept that and move on. :|

Please don't break the amazing battery, please don't break the amazing battery!

One million times this. There has GOT to be a better way. Maybe some sort of authorization (only) that comes from the phone, then the file is downloaded directly to the watch?

All the same here but I do swim and I do go to water parks and never had an issue with the series 0 and water. Wife wears hers in the bath every night, no issues. We do have AppleCare just in case but have not needed it once.

BTW, 41 minutes in and my update is still processing. Should not be too long now. Ha.

Yeah, I've showered with mine every single day for what, 20 months now. Never once had a problem. I have swam with it and taken it into a hot tub. But I also have AC+, so I don't need to worry about breaking it.

Wasn't sure if anyone had downloaded the beta and had experience with it.. thanks tho

Ahh, my bad. I doubt anyone has it installed yet. 250MB file will probably take over an hour to download and install. Even 3.1.3 was 18MB and that took 40 minutes.
