The market took a huge dump following Obama's victory (as I expected) in fear of the fiscal cliff, and Europe and over-hyped AAPL expectations drove Apple down. I thought this would happen no matter who won, not just Obama.

All the more reason not to get distracted and focus on their jobs at Apple. The share price has been falling for weeks now and the economic crisis in Europe is not new. I'm glad Obama won but I don't think the two are wholly related.

Aston Martin, Jaguar or McLaren would be my preference.

Actually, a lot of NYC residents go there for the summer that are wealthy. It's a good place that's quiet and relaxing. I met a bunch of people in the financial district this past summer out there.

And for those making 250k or more a year. Ferarri or Lambo is nothing to them.

I should have taken a pic of the dude, you'd see what I mean. Take note of the frame around the plate, that's a dealer in Florida.

Given the falling share price maybe Tim and Eddy should be fully focussed on their day jobs instead.

what a silly statement. People can walk and chew gum at the same time. Especially executives of multi billion dollar corporations.

I like Jony Ive's Aston Martin better. Oh and his Bently too. :D

Lamborghini > Ferrari

Yikes. Modern Lambo designs are overwrought, bloated origami, Ferraris have a beautiful, almost understated elegance.

Plus, nothing sounds like a F-car motor wound up to 8K+. I've driven a few of both, on and off track, the Ferrari experience always made my spine tingle, the Lambos just didn't have the same impact (even silly HP TT Gallardos).

In fact, I'd take the Gallardo platform in Audi dress over the Lambo :)

+1 to the TF&TF quote (aka, TG&TC) :) Craig's car was OK, mine was was more groovy :D

What about classic European exotics? The ones that American carmakers copied? ;)
Still, the 1962 Corvette, 1965 Cobra, and 1965 Fastback are awesome.

Lamborghini > Ferrari

Eh both have crappy MPG.

Completely not a mac rumor

Get over it?

I dont get the hype with Ferrari - they haven't made a nice car for years. Give me a bugatti veyron or caterham any day!

Psstthhh, that's for poor folks. Gimmie a private jet!

In most cases, the rich earned their wealth. Not crazy at all.

I know you said "most" but many singers didn't earn their money. Look at Justin Fever. He sucks yet he has $$$. Now that's crazy!

And this is why they have the saying, 'Only in America'.

The cost of some classic America muscle cars rivals that classic European exotics.

1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda Convertible – Lot 255 $2,200,000 gavel price

The Lamborghini Muira is one of the most beautiful cars made. Other classic European exotics are beautiful as well.

I'm not a fan of modern exotics regardless of country of origin. The late 60s/early 70s was the peak of automotive design in terms of visual aesthetics.

For those saying iphone/ferrari integration; Ferrari has used iPod touches for a while. Specifically the 16M Scud comes with a touch.

It's all subjective of course. I can see you prefer a different look. As for me, I love the look that Lamborghini first brought in with the Countach (about the time you lost interest in the mid 70s!), and evolved since then. It's not elegant sophistication, or the promise of a smooth ride—the design says raw power, something wild and untamed. What else would you want a 6.5 litre V12 super-guzzler to say! :)

True, this is entirely subjective.

Modern exotics look like they were designed by computers not sculptors. They have a quality that suggests function is given priority over aesthetics. At least as far as I'm concerned.

You probably have forgotten about Ferrari Italia 458, aren't you? IMHO it's the best looking Ferrari!
