Apple has taken its online storefront down in order to prepare for the launch of iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro orders, which will likely begin at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time or 3:01 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, March 24. Orders will be available on Apple's site, through the Apple Store app, and through carrier websites.

Apple will accept orders for the two devices in first wave launch countries that include Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK, US Virgin Islands, and the US.

The iPhone SE is available in 16 and 64GB capacities in the United States, with pricing that starts at $399 for an outright purchase. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available in 32, 128, and 256GB capacities with prices that start at $599. Both Wi-Fi and Cellular models are available.

Supplies of the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro are likely to be adequate and we do not expect the devices to sell out. Nevertheless, customers planning to purchase should do so right away just in case.

Deliveries on orders placed today are expected to begin on March 31, which is also the day when the two devices will be available for in-store purchase.

Looks like it's going to be some drug party going on at midnight. It's almost like watching NEW JACK CITY movie.

Gladly I don't need any of those.

But new Macs are always released with the first wave here too. Maybe there are silent upgrades… ;)

I thin light (rose) gold bigger screen MacBook whatever with more than one port for an appropriate price and I could break my promise to never buy a new Mac again until my Late 2011 17-inch MBP and my white Mid-2010 MB both died.

Wish I could stay up until 2am to order like the good ol' days of being a hooligan. Will have to order at 5:30am before work

iPad Pro WiFi white/silver 128GB and Apple Pencil. Weeeeeeee

Maybe in America it's down, but in England it's UP! :)

Try to buy anything old ore new and you'll get also that message. Every store is closed. :(

I have to ask a search engine to convert the announced 12:01 and 3:01 a.m. to Central European Time, don't know when that should be…

Edit: seems to be at 12:01 a.m., it's 4:44 a.m. now.

Edit2: or 8:01 a.m.

I see this as the least improved iPad ever released since the original came out. Considering they took an extra 6 months to get us the updated 9.7" iPad (vs the annual updates we've been getting), and they increased the price by $100, they needed to do a bit more. If they at least added force touch to the iPad, I'd of bought one. Extra $100 for what? We always get faster CPUs, and more memory (they didn't even include more memory on this). The smart connector isn't of any value, as that requires even more cost to leverage (as well as the pen support). At $499 I'd of bought one to replace my iPad Air. That $100 is just a slap in the face.

A little over 3 hours from when I posted this.

So you're going from and iPad Air 1 16gb and the new pro ships with 32gb. There, that's your extra $100.

Oh and you get all this throw away stuff as well:

Double the speakers (stereo/surround)
7.1 Dolby surround support
6x cpu performance since air 1
Probably 8x-10x gpu performance
Apple Pencil support
300% resolution increase on camera
Camera flash
Smart connector capabilities for accessories
Ambient light sensors for true color tones based on environment
The brightest, widest color gamut on any apple device in existence
Touch ID
M9 Coprocessor for "Hey Siri" support and health stuff
20% thinner
~15-20% lighter
