After today's record breaking results, Apple will be holding a company-wide Town Hall for employees discussing some "exciting new things going on at Apple." Tim Cook sent a company-wide email to employees, as posted by 9to5Mac:
These town hall meetings are restricted to Apple employees and it's unlikely Cook will announce anything too exciting. However, details of the event invariably leak out, and may show Apple's changes and direction internally. The Town Hall is taking place on Wed, Jan 25th at 10am Pacific.

Anonymously? Isn't this a breach of the rules that apple dictates for its employees?

That's probably closer to reality than some are thinking. Probably just some new employee initiatives similar to how they brought charity back to the apple organization.

Ya. With Apple's level of secrecy Tim isn't going to talk about any new products.

Some leaks are planned PR moves. It doesn't necessarily have a negative connotation for the employee responsible.

Probably some sort of employee profit sharing. They've gotta use some of that cash, and a one time or company performance based grant to employees is a decent way to do it.

    His two key messages..

    1. Imagine how much better our results would have been if the 4S hadn't been such a disappointment. But keep turning out such disappointments please. I love them.

    2. As a reward, I am upgrading our company free coffee to Star Bucks. We do like some companies from the Seattle area.
