Apple to open Portland-area store on Nov 15

    According to ifoapplestore.com today, the opening date is November 7th. I guess we'll find out as the date draws nearer.

    Anybody besides me going?

    I can't go if it is indeed on the 15th though. :(

    I am soooo there ! I agree that the 7th would be better, but either way I'm going to show up. I'll probably be buying a new 12" PB while I'm there too. I live just north of the Washington/Oregon border and an Apple store in Tigard is not only closer than the Seattle one, but it will be cheaper too because of the lack of tax.

    Apple Store Opening

    I can tell you that the store is opening on the 15th. The 7th is wrong.

    If Apple were serious about international markets, they would open stores outside of the US.

    However, they are not.

    Additionally Apple seem not to like intiatives outside of the US - see the below thinksecret link:

    I was just looking at pictures of the new Apple store in Tokyo. So I'm not sure I would say they're not interested in international stores. But the Apple Store is a relatively new thing, I would give them some time to expand more outside of the US.
