    ahh google. how did google get so popular anyways? i dont understand the differences in search engines, people just told me to use them and i like the odd name.

    #1 - Sites listed in Google get 'points' for being linked to from other sites. If the other site has high points, you get higher points.

    #2 - The interface is very simple. There are no pop ups, no "Are You Single?" advertisements, no auction or any of that other crap. It loads quick.

    Google is from the word Googol, meaning 1 with 100 zeros after it.
