Since Feb. 1, I've bought 132 songs. About half were bought using winning Pepsi caps, and the rest were purchased. The Pepsi promotion has exposed me to a lot of music I wouldn't have otherwise bought.

50 million or 100 million aside -- the statistic that billions of songs are traded monthly via P2P is still discouraging.

alright you zelots, it's time to crack open the wallets and spend some dosh. we can't let uncle steve look bad. i've picked up the very excellent south san gabriel album today, 8 songs $7.92, which for all you "there isn't enough choice on the iTMS" is extraordinarily not-mainstream. it's will johnsons other side band, which is even less known than his main band centro-matic, which is so underground that even KCRW doesn't play them.
