I need to purchase an applecare plan for my powerbook soon. I can get one at the Edu. price of $239 with no problem, but I've noticed that they also go on ebay for ~$200. Is it worth the hassle of trying to save another $40 on ebay? Any problems people have run into buying AC from ebay?

Just make sure that you are buying the code, not just the disk. If you get a good serial number/code, you should be fine. I once saw a listing where the woman selling found "an Applecare disk" in a drawer at work and thought it was all that was needed. She did not have the number, just the disk. When I explained that the disk was not the needed part, she appreciated it and ended the auction.
