So what happens after the iPod.. do teens go towards a low-cost iPhone, or does a competitor come along and take market share?

I bet a lot of teens get the iPod nano since it's cheaper and smaller. When they grow up and start making money, they can buy an iPhone or iPod touch.

Also, any analyst shouldn't forget that new teens come along every day. There may not be much growth left in iPods, but they're still selling well. You can only grow so much before everybody has one.

I think they just wait until their iPods die and then buy new ones.
