Apple's MacBook to get an early Merom upgrade?

    Please let this be true. I'm in (half) need of a new laptop and this would definitely make my mind up on the black macbook.

    Hmm, an interesting article indeed... I'm half tempted to get my money back on my (now 3rd after a few replacements) MacBook and wait until this comes out!

    I would be very surprised if they didn't release a Merom MB as soon as they have the chipset available.

    For this round of updates the supporting chipset is the same as the one for Yonah....but yeah I think Intel want Apple to be as up to date as possible. Apple are their flagship customer now.

    There's another thread like this one that I just posted in, but I hope this is true because I really want a macbook. The only problem would be is that I haven't even received my tibook yet! I'll use them both to test it out. This is great news if it happens!

    I hope the Mac Mini mght see a new core 2 chip too :)
