Apple's "Playlist to DVD" - A script that turns your iTun...

    I find it surprising that this needs a SuperDrive (it needs iDVD so presumably needs a SuperDrive). Surely the produced disc won't be too big and should easily fit on a CD?

    Seems like a waste of a DVD to me. Perhaps it would be good for 1.5 hour parties. But, why not just put together a bunch of vids and make it more interesting....?

    The point is that a DVD has an onscreen menu and cover art. It's fun, and blank DVDs are pretty cheap now. I think it's pretty cool. Almost makes me want iDVD 4...

    I can giving someone a mix CD and a DVD of the same, with cover art--a fun gift. Or making some DVDs for party music, with a TV always showing what's on.

    You can do that with a Super VCD too.

    But a SuperDrive's expensive.

    Another case of premature specification? Seems Apple has taken the page off...

    Maybe they decided to wait until iLife '04 is released?
