didnt know if this should go under apps or this. my school has T1 network speeds and itunes says 80 hours for a 930 MB app update. I did a speedtest and im getting 22 mbits down and 18 mbits up. Is this apples app update servers and is anyone else having this problem. Its been like this for 5 hours. The thread can be locked after.

It shouldn't take 80 hours. Likely something being blocked on the network that's making it slow down.

I agree. My speeds are 22Mb/s down and 5Mb/s up and it never took me long to download an update. Maybe 30-45 minutes most.
Maybe Apple's servers are just screwy right now.

If you don't want to wait, you can download the software from here (may be quicker): http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

its just an update for an app so ill pause it for a few days

EDIT: i just tested the firmware you posted just to see if it was my schools servers but its going at 3 MB a sec so its gotta be Apple

EDIT 2: hahaha its Fifa 2011. i got it when it was a dollar so it was a pretty decent deal.

19 Hrs for iOS 9.1 update on a 2Mb/s connection, yet the download hovers around 25Kb/sec when connected to the Apple iPhone Update Server and sometimes drops out completely I have tried 6 times now and I keep getting a "Download failed because your connection was reset" message.
