    Feedback to Apple

Yes, I wrote the article, and I'd like to add that it might make sense to submit feedback to Apple asking them to support the ideas mentioned within (namely, that Appleworks should support the OpenOffice.org file formats as its default).

So, hop on over to Apple and tell them what you think! http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/

    Thanks for reading!

and where would that leave keynote? It would seem a bit odd having oo.o based apps except the pres app and to have oo.o file formats except keynote.

After using khtml instead of mozilla (which suprised most people), wouldn't it be more likely to use koffice if they were to do something like that. Especially as there is a native port (even if you do need to install some kde files first and it's unstable as hell)

I agree that Apple are more likely to use KOffice. They like lightweight things, not the bloat that is OpenOffice. However, I think they'd want to get rid of the Qt dependencies first.
