    Hey everyone,
I haven't really been able to find anything on this topic. I was wondering if applications that are built for x86 processors will be able to run on Intel Macs. Specifically this game called Xenimus. This game uses DirectX which is a Microsoft technology. So I doubt it but maybe. It is not supported in VPC either. So does anyone know if this game would work on future Intel Macs? Thanks

If an app is compiled for Windows/x86, then it'll take more than an Intel proc to run it. Just like a Cocoa app compiled for x86 wouldn't run on Windows, a win32 app compiled for x86 won't run (natively) on an x86 Mac. There will be various ways to run win32 apps on your Mac, such as open-source projects like Darwine, and commercial apps like VPC, but the DirectX requirement makes things trickier. Not all API "emulators" support DirectX.
