Are the new G5's really quiet?

ok , now is it a quiet whooshing noise or a high pitched EEeeeeeeeee noise.

I dont think that i can insert any MP3's here to illustrate my noises.

If it a quiet whooshing then i can put it across the room and thats ok, but I hate that EEeeeeee ,, anyone have another name for that high pitched sound that is sometimes made?

Bizarre crunching noise doesnt seem quiet to me.
And sitting next to a switch with a fan is still a situation where
you cant really consider what the G5 is doing.

This bizarre crunching noise is the hard disk being accessed (hence you hear it while loading Halo). Its gonna make that noise in any computer, and it really isn't very loud at all, in fact, the fact that you can hear it means the computer must be pretty quiet as it is usually drowned out by the fan noise.
