Just the same single rumour posted everyday about October. Each article just copies the last one and they generally read like they were written by a bot. For what it's worth I asked an Apple core sales specialist yesterday and he told me probably not until next year. I think if we don't get something more specific in the next two weeks then it will probably be a long wait.

Thanks for your information. I also searched rumors on google and twitter, they are almost the same. They even quote Tim Cook's email as "iMac will release soon, stay tuned."
New Intel chip release date unclear, I think that's why iMac release date unclear.

Has anyone taken a look at Best Buy this morning? There is a new imac showing a 7th generation processor.

Here it is, since its reporting with a M380, I think its a typo on the processor

Put it this way, to maintain their credibility, Apple have to release new Macs at the October event as it's their last opportunity for the next six months. The event is expected to be the 20th October.

Last year they announced them around the same time and started shipping in late November / December I believe. Good estimate.

iMacs are released every October, has been that way for multiple years (check google).

Instead of speculating, there was already a leaked report that has told us it will be happening. here it is

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...repare-ipad-upgrades-and-refreshed-mac-lineup

I would be shocked if they don't put out a new one. B&H isn't ordering any new iMacs anymore, Apple took the new label off of all of the current iMac line, all the signs are there.

I'm very confident that it will happen.

Apple often release updated macs with no announcement, so if they do no redesign on the iMac (which is highly likely) then they will just update the internals ship them to their stores and do a press release, often called a silent update they happen frequently. This can happen at any time.

The MacBook pros on the other hand are almost certainly getting a redesign so they will probably be announced in an event.

Given the lack of Kaby Lake processors for the iMac and the fact the 27" iMac is on Skylake, I fully expect to see a minor update to the iMac line. the 21" should hopefully get to skylake, but the 27" will not see too much love

The 27 should get new Polaris graphics, far more important than kaby lake which is just Intel releasing something every year rather than any great improvement over skylake.
