I did a search on both of the companys and they appear to be pretty safe to buy from. Sometimes those types of sites can be pretty shady but those look good. The first one offers PayPal and don't they have a Fraud Policy like they'll refund you money? Here is a review of TechRestore. Couldn't find any on the first one but they have PayPal:

    Good Luck. Kevin

Edit: I don't know about their prices, but you might want to check out PowerMax. They seem to be one of the most reliable companys around. And for the record, this probably shouldn't have been posted in the Marketplace, more so the Buying Advice forum.;)

I've heard fantastic things about TechRestore, and good things about Wegener as well. PowerMax and Mac of All Trades are other popular places for cheap, used machines.

They do look credible, and the prices aren't bad, but I would steer away from the G3 ibooks. Many of them have had logic board issues, and I would hate to see you buy one and then have the logic board go out on it without having a warranty. You can also check on ebay...

About 2 years ago, I placed an order with Wegener for a slot-loading dvd-rom drive. Paid with a visa card. Turned out the item was not in stock. They reversed the charges without any trouble. I ended up getting the drive elsewhere, but would recommend them based on my experience with them.
