I purchased a replacement battery for my 6th gen ipod classic but the connection cable doesn't look the same as the original. Did they send me the wrong cable? The ipod turns on with the new battery but i get the red x on the screen.

This is my old battery cable:

So did I get the wrong battery?

I've swapped around batteries from iPod Videos into Classics and they worked fine. They are actually the same battery as Zune's use too! The red X means there is an issue with the hard drive.

We ll I've actualy changed both the hardrive and circuit board but haven't been able to get rid of that red x. I know the new hardrive is good because it worked when I connected it to my old circuit board but since the battery connector broke I was forced to buy another. Now the only thing I can thing of is that I got a bad circuit board. The one I bought didn't have that white sticker that my old one had. Does that matter?
